- "Dry Ice was a sextet from Revere, Massachusetts that evolved out of Johnny & The Patriots. Neither outfit managed to achieve any releases during their tenure but the American Sound album gathers together unreleased recordings from 1967 through 1969, laid down at Fleetwood “and some other forgotten studio in Malden”. Six of these had previously appeared on two Arf! Arf! CD's; five (two versions of Mary Is Alone and Mr. Sawyer, Lucy Mae and Sunny Day) on 1996's New England Teen Scene Unreleased, and one on 2001’s Arf! Arf! (El Cheapo) 2-CD Sampler." (FAF)
- "Frank Dimino would find success eventually, in the mid-seventies with androgynous glam/prog-rockers Angel." (FAF)
